Food for Fitness

For centuries, athletes have been following plant-based diets to achieve a competitive advantage.  Recently, plant-based diets have been gaining popularity in a variety of sports.  Perhaps that's because vegan athletes are leading in endurance sports, tennis, and even Formula One racing.



You don't have to be a professional athlete to benefit from a plant-based diet.  A low-fat vegan diet comprising whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables provides the ideal fuel for any physical activity.  This class will give you the knowledge and skills needed to prepare simple, nutritious meals that fuel optimal fitness and recovery.


​This interactive course combines nutritional education with live cooking demonstrations so that you've got the technical know-why as well as the practical know-how.

​This one-hour class includes a teaching video, discussion and live cooking demonstration. Participants will learn not only how to prepare some plant-based dishes, but also how a plant-based diet helps with fitness.

Food for Fitness  is part of the Food For Life programme which has been created by the Physicians Committee, a not-for-profit based in the United States which is supported by over 12,000 doctors who realise that one of the most powerful ways to promote health is through a plant-based diet.
